Final Poster Design

In order to create the best slogan for our poster, we brainstormed our ideas. We looked at the message we wanted to convey in our poster, also focusing on the contrast between the character of Rachel and the others. To give us inspiration, we also looked at song lyrics.

This is our final poster design. Our message for the poster was to show that it's a traditional, rural soap but with a modern new twist. To fit with the rural, country setting, we decided to create a border in the style of an old picture frame and have all the characters (apart from Rachel) dressed in traditional clothing or that to reflect their character's personality. We also decided to have the characters in sepia tone to reflect the country theme and emphasise our message. Rachel, on the far right, will be in normal colour wearing a party outfit so that she stands out and the reader can make a direct link with the slogan and her character. "Mill Lane" will be placed at the bottom of the poster in a plaque, as seen on many old, traditional portraits. The font will be black, in capital letters and of a font similar to 'GEORGIA'  and the colour scheme will involve predominantly browns and golds, as well as red and brown.
