Rough Poster 1

Scan 0001

By creating a rough poster we could sketch out the design we wanted whilst recognising the faults and errors which we did not want to bring to our final produced poster. One error that was noted swiftly was the level in which each character was placed. For example, if you look at the feet of each character they are of different angles/levels/heights which give unfair perceptions of the characters' appearances which could confuse the audience. To avoid this, we will have a set foot level in our final poster so all the characters can be compared, introduced and judged fairly.
We have yet decided a slogan for our poster but here and a list of a few ideas of which we are debating from…
1) Out with the old, in with the Essex
2) whatever other ones we came up with

We have not yet created our own channel name and we do not have permission to use the channel 4 logo, however, for the time being it is just an example logo. We will explore possible channel names and ideas and find one which seems to fit our soaps audience.
Another issue with the poster is that some pictures seem out of place. This is down to our fault of directing our actors correctly. The mechanic looks very unsure and is not stood straight like the other characters, you could presume this is a connotation of his confident nature but he looks odd in comparison to the other characters. The character Barry Brooker is pouting, this cannot be the facial expression for the final poster design as this character is suppose to look strict and tough. Jennifer Ward looks scared. Her character is suppose to look worried, which is linked to her storyline but this is over the top and will confuse the audience.
